Notes : The size of the ten shilling note was once again reduced in 1936 to permit greater efficiency by printing more notes per sheet. This followed close on the heels of similar action taken by the Bank of England for notes issued in Great Britain.

Approximately 98,120,000 of the smaller Riddle/Sheehan notes were printed. Signatures are printed in orange. Minor variations in colour occur. The earlier notes tend to have a slightly darker shade of orange than the later notes. The green in the mosaic background also varies slightly.

Lots 136 and 137 at the International Auction Galleries Auction 68 held on 21st September, 2008 were consecutive trios of R11 banknotesnotes - graded UNC - which realised a price of $27,960

Lot 7862 at the Status International Auctions Sale 250 held on 17th October, 2008 was the above note, which realised a price of $3,000. The last 0 of the number was inserted by hand by the printer and is slightly out of alignment compared to the other numbers. Unfortunately, ink "commas" have been inserted in the right number.
