Notes : Following complaints that the smaller 10 shilling note introduced in 1933 could be mistaken for a ten pound note, the words
TEN SHILLINGS were added on three of the borders.
Approximately 48,183,000 notes were printed. Variations in the colour of notes of this type occur, from a light brown to a darker
chocolate. There are also variations in the background red and green colours.
